Bharat-Nepal Higher Education Summit
‘Bharat-Nepal Higher Education Summit’ on 15th – 17th February 2024 at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Nepal.
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 highlights a strong focus on the internationalization of Higher Education in India. Emphasizing on initiatives to attract international students, the goal is to make India a preferred study destination for affordable quality education, while promoting ‘internationalization at home.’ The policy encourages research/teaching collaborations, faculty/student exchanges, and MOUs with foreign universities for creating a global academic environment.
In the backdrop of above, AIU in collaboration with Kathmandu University is organizing the summit 
which will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister of Nepal and will be attended by eminent dignitaries from both the countries, besides academics and students.
Why Participate
The Summit, held in conjunction with the AIU North Zone Vice Chancellors’ Conference on the theme ‘Globalization & Internationalization of Higher Education,’ will bring together over 150 universities from India and Nepal. Principals of Senior Secondary Schools and students from Nepal are also invited to participate in this enriching event. The proposed Summit will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and networking sessions. The Summit will bring together leaders, academicians, faculties, and students from various educational and industrial sectors, fostering meaningful discussions and collaborations.
The Summit will provide a unique platform to engage with other institutions, discuss research collaborations, explore faculty/student exchange programs, establish twinning programs or joint/dual degrees and attract foreign students to study in your university.

Stall Fabrication: Each participating university will be provided with a 3m X 2m size stall, equipped with 1 table, 2 chairs, Fascia Board, and Dustbin to showcase the strengths and offerings of your university.
Promotion Activities: The event will be extensively promoted through digital boards, hoarding boards, radio, TV, newspapers, and various social media outlets for ensuring maximum visibility.
Digital Branding: Platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Google Advertisements, and online news portals for digital branding shall be used for reaching a wide audience throughout Nepal.
Student Engagement: A substantial number of students are expected to attend the Summit, providing your university with an excellent opportunity to showcase its offerings and assist students in making informed decisions about their future courses of study.
On-Stage Presentation: Participating universities will have the unique opportunity to make a presentation on the main stage, allowing them to highlight the university’s profile, best practices, and distinctive features. This on-stage presence will provide unparalleled visibility and the chance to share your institution’s achievements with an esteemed audience of academic leaders, policymakers, and industry professionals.
Accommodation and Meals:The participation fee includes one double room for a 3-night stay (check-in on 14.02.2024 and check-out on 17.02.2024) at a good resort near the venue. Additionally, lunch and tea with snacks will be provided each day during the Summit.
Additional Participants: If desired, additional persons from your university can join the Summit at their own cost, broadening the engagement and participation from your institution. Promotional Material: You are requested to bring your own promotional material regarding your university for showcasing at the allotted stall.
Participation Fee The participation fee of INR one lakh only plus 18% GST, is an inclusive package covering stall facilities, promotion activities, accommodation, and meals. We believe this fee offers great value for the comprehensive benefits provided to your university.
